Fuel System Flush.
Do I need to get a fuel system flush at 37,000 miles for a 2009 Mustang V6? It is not listed in in the maintenance schedule. The oil change technician wanted to do that. He said that it is in listed at the Ford technical site. I cannot find this recommendation. Is the guy trying to rip me off?

Sounds like he may be blowing smoke. In fact, late model Ford and GM cars have injectors that should NOT be flushed as there is a risk of ruining them. If you notice a performance decrease (sputtering, lower MPG, rough idling, etc) then it MIGHT help, but those symptoms do not automatically mean a fuel system flush is in order. Mechanics that I know all say this is something that IF it needs to be done, is typically not seen until around 100,000 miles. Just go buy a bottle of Seafoam (or similar) and add to your tank during a fill up every other month or so and you should be just fine.
