2006 Mustang Gt.under Hard Acceleration I Lose Gas Peddle And Check Engine On

under hard accelaration the car will lose the throtle but the car will stay running and the check engin light is on.... i shut it off and the car starts and a have a peddle agien.... is there a clutch slipping safty deal or wat
