Escape Will Start And Idle But Won't Rev Up.

I changed the fuel filter and there is good fuel pressure. Is there anything else I can try. Is thie model of escape compatible to an OBD 11 code reader.

Try unpplugging the mass air flow meter and try revving the engine up, Sometimes small bugs get stuck on the sensor and just cleaning with maf sensor cleaner may work. Do you have a code P0171 or P0174 ?
