Engine Knock 2005 Ford Freestyle 3.0 Duratec

engine knock at idle and above idle when warm. especiaslly with a/c on

Try a higher octane gas. Some vehicles run well on 87 octane, but others do not. Put in a tank of 89 (or higher) octane and see if the knock decreases or goes away.
