Remote Not Able To Start My 2003 Ford Ranger In -13c Weather...

Remote doesn't start the truck now that it's -13c. And I can't find how to deactivate the Remote so I can try with the key direct in the ignition/ At one time I could start it with the key, then something happened that I could start it with only the remote. And I haven't been able to find how I could get back to the key start? It started fine with remote when the weather was warmer, but now it will not do it. The battery is fully charged, and on the charger, but when I click the remote - only the lights flick but nothing else. ???
