Car Dies After It Cranks

car dies after cranks unless I keep foot on gas . Also when I do get it to idle the a/c doesn't blow cold unless my foot is on the gas

There is a non-start troubleshooting guide here http://www.samarins.com/diagnose/index.html that should be of great help. Otherwise, do check to see if you have a valid PCM relay in the fuse box under the hood as a bad one would potentially cause your issue.
