My Fuel Pump Is Not Coming On.

I have a 1999 Crown Victoria and my fuel pump stop working. I changed the pump, relay, and the emergency shut off switch and still the pump wont come on. I been under this car for 3 days and I need some help BAD!!!!!!

Does your key have a resistor in it? Some people call it computer chip, but it's just a resistor. If the VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) cannot read the resistor, it will disable the fuel pump. That prevents someone from stealing the car.

Try wiping off the key with a cloth and see if that gets the car to start. Trying your backup key would be another thing to try, if you have one. Or have a new key made and try that one.I'm betting it is the VATS setup not reading the key.

Another problem could be the VATS wiring to the ignition lock cylinder is damaged, so the circuit isn't completed when you insert the key. There is a way to bypass the VATS system, but I don't know how to do it myself. Maybe a Google search would help you , if that's what the problem is.
