1998 Ford Ranger Xlt Won't Start

I am so tired of spending money on my ford ranger! It won't start - does not seem to be the fuel or battery problem. I can pish start it and then it runs great. Sometimes it starts and other times not. have to park on a hill just in case. I had a new clutch safety switch put in and a new starter. I am tired of this problem, after many trips to the mechanics it has become a costly problem.
