Check Coolant Level

The last time I started my Mom's 1998 Ford Escort to move it, it said "check coolant level" on the dashboard and sounded like it was going to blow up. My brother had to move it the other day and said it started right up. However, when he went to move it back in front of our house, it would not start. Where do I put the coolant? Would that be causing it not to start?

Coolant level is probably not the reason. You otherwise add coolant into a plastic resevoir as directed on the video here

Hope that is helpful.
