Your vehicle should have a fuel shutoff switch, also called an inertia switch. This switch trips if you are in an accident to prevent the pump from running in case you are involved in a rollover, which could spray fuel onto the exhaust.
But the switch can also trip if you jostle the vehicle too much. For example, you can trip it if you jack the vehicle up and lower it down too fast. You can also trip it by tossing something heavy into the vehicle.
The switch is basically just a red button that you press to reset. It should be located in the passenger side kick panel area. Right where the passenger rests their right foot, or close to that area. You may have to remove a plastic cover that is in the kick panel to access the button.
