The Fluke 336 is a digital clamp meter that measures AC/DC current up to 600A and AC/DC voltage up to 600V. The selector dial on the Fluke 336 allows you to select the function and range that you want to measure. Here's how to use the selector dial:
- Turn on the meter by pressing the power button.
- Rotate the selector dial to select the measurement function that you want to use. The options on the dial include AC voltage, DC voltage, AC current, DC current, resistance, continuity, and diode test.
- Depending on the function you select, you may need to adjust the range by rotating the dial again. The available ranges will be displayed on the screen.
- After selecting the function and range, clamp the meter around the conductor you want to measure. Make sure that the jaws are properly closed around the conductor and that there are no obstructions.
- Read the measurement value on the display. The Fluke 336 also features a hold button that allows you to freeze the reading on the screen for easier recording.
- After taking the measurement, rotate the selector dial to the OFF position to turn off the meter.
