Facebook Repeatedly Rejects Me

I signed up yesterday and friends accepted me. However I can't sign on after numerous attempts. I keep getting a message that my email address is invalid or doesn't belong to an existing account. Whatis wrong, what can I do? I am so frustrated. Also my page did come up one time. I did several things, update IE, delete cookies, etc.

There are two possible solutions to this problem.

You could log in with an alternate email address you may have registered with Facebook.
You could fill out this Facebook form for folks with expired or invalid addresses.
