While Using Fb Chat, My Friends Are Telling Me That I Am Going 'offline'

it is getting very frustrating. I will be chatting and then they won't get some of my chats and then they will send a message on top left saying i went offline when i didn't. This happens when i use IE and Mozilla firefox. I also don't get some of their messages. This has been going on for a couple months now. I am just about to forget fb. Is there something wrong with my browser settings? Sometimes, i will be on fb and when going to different window i will mimimze fb could that be a problem, but other times, i don't have any other window open except fb and it STILL says i am offline. It does this periodically and it is getting to be more frequent. VERY frustrating and i need help with this issue......thank you

I had the same issue, and was told it was an unreliable Internet connection. Are you using a wireless Internet connection?

Its possible it is an intermittent Internet issue, but it is also likely Facebook chat is unreliable. There have been many users who have complained of this same issue.
