We Are Trying To Create A Username For Our Musician Page.

however when we select our band name.. it states it is not available, however it is a made up name and the only other reference to it on facebook is my photography site... which doesn't have a facebook.nykadym domain at all.. so who has it, or did we try and register it before and now its stuck in limbo. can't search for it, it states it doesn't exist... so if it doesn't exist, why isn't it available?

It may be that the name is in fact taken. Even if you did not create the page it is very possible that, random or unique as the name may be, it has already been registered to someone else. As a musician and a blogger, I run into this problem often when trying to register for new social media. It might help to try a different social media platform for your band's page. You could also play with the spelling of the band's name, or consider having a page name that is slightly different from your band's actual name.
