I Can Never Log In To My New Facebook Account. I Do Not Have A Cell Phone.

After typing in my Email address and Password, and clicking the Login button, it always says "Confirm Your Identity": "To continue, we need you to provide your phone number.  This quick security check helps keep Facebook a community of real people who connect and share using their real identities."  "Confirm your identity by adding a mobile number to your account".  There is a link to "Add your phone".  And another link to "(Or use a different verification method)".If I click on the "(Or use a different verification method)" link, then the same screen described above (to add a mobile phone number) comes up again - no different verification method.If I click on the "Add your phone" link, then of course that doesn't work since it wants me to text something but I can't since I don't have a cell phone of any kind.Facebook must think I want to use its Mobile Web mode, but I have no mobile phone.  I have never been able to look at my new facebook page to see what my "wall" is, etc.  During the account creation process I added some friends shown from list, which some have confirmed, so now I must explain to them that I cannot communicate with them through Facebook.  I can't login to look or set any security settings or view my profile.  I cannot post on the blog without being able to log in.  I am truly stuck.  I cannot "start over" by creating the account again, because of course my email account is being used by my FB account which I cannot access.  I also tried changing my password, which did work (I can tell by messages received when using the old password).I cannot move forward unless someone helps me.Can Facebook employees either delete my account altogether so I can re-create it, or change my account so it does not think that I want Facebook Mobile Web, or fix it so that it does not think I have a cell phone, or make the "(Or use a different verification method)" work (but in my case, there is probably no other verification method, since I have not been able to set up any security questions yet, or entered any other info, because I cannot log in!).
