Facebook Page

I created a page for our Senior class (1965) and we need for it to be a closed page. I have tried everything I read in the help center but nothing works. It said to change privacy settings to go to the top right hand corner of the page for the drop down menu but there's nothing to click on? Al so, can the like feature be removed? I am really frustrated.

Actually instead of the standard gear image in the upper right corner of the page, there is a small grey down arrow. Click on that arrow and you will see:

Account settings
Privacy Settings
Log out
Help

It does not appear that the Like feature can be deactivated. Facebook is a social network.

You can limit the people who can view the Past Posts from the Privacy Setting. You can control how you connect with people who know you and vice versa.

Of you don't want more postings on the page - although I can't imagine why - you would select How You Connect and Who can post on your wall.
