How To Delete An Email Address

when setting up my facebook account i accidentally pushed a wrong letter for me email now i have 2 addresses. one is real and the other doesn't exist. i can't proceed without confirming the mail it's not real. please help me delete it or i'll have to cancel y account. thanks, brad
