How Do I Deal With A Threat Contained In A Facebook Message?

My friend Maria Moran was contacted on her Facebook account by someone claiming to be Dr. Paulette George Guthrey. The profile appeared suspicious and I was able to discover that the photos used in the profile were actually of Dr. Michael T. Lawton, a neurosurgeon at UCSF.When the person behind the "Paulette profile" was confronted he asked Maria where I lived and said he would send someone to eliminate me! Subsequently the Paulette profile has disappeared but I want to work with FB to determine who this person is and whether I need to take any precautions (since Paulette knows my name and my home address is discoverable on the internet).Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
