Ex50 Projector Laptop Videos Are Slow On Projector Screen.

I just bought Epson EX50 projector. I hooked it up to my laptop with the included USB cable. I do get the movie to work on projector screen but it doesn't work the same as on computer screen. Slower frames. However, if hooked up to tv or dvd player it works fine for the video but not volume goes to the DVD. What do i need to do ?   Thanks, Amrik
