Transmission Leak And Worries

I purchased a new 2012 dodge journey AWD on monday with 75 miles. Brought it home and parked it in the garage. The next afternoon after returning from work, noticed a puddle of red oil in the spot where the journey was parked. Called dealership and was told to bring it in the next day. It was deteremined (and I had stated) that it was transmission fluid. Looks like it might be an associated transmission pump leak. I am concerned that it might have cause more damage that will show later having driven with the leaking transmission. Should I be concerned. As of Friday, I am still waiting for my vehicle.
