392 Hemi Clapping Sound
I just bough a 2012 challenger srt8 392 hemi and I hear a sound from the engine like a small clapping. The clapping speed is directly related to rpm. I have 740 mile on the car. What is this sound?

Do an oil change and go to full synthetic oil. I prefer Castrol, but most brands are just as good. Also, don't use a stock Mopar oil filter. Go with a Wix oil filter. I think NAPA has them in stock.
Just remember that a Hemi engine will never purr like a kitten. It's built for power and speed, with no concern about how it sounds!
