Wheel (axle) Bearing Failure.

My 2010 Dodge Caravan just had both front wheel bearings replaced by the dealer in Dartmouth N.S. (Canada). There are 61,000 km on the odometer. I bought the van as a 1 year old lease buy-back from the same dealer in 2011. WHY DID THEY NOT COVER THE COST? From my research, all other manufacturers cover powertrain repairs (which includes these parts) for 100,000 km/5 yr.
