Brake fluid is one of the things that you do not top off. This is an indicator for you to know when your brakes are getting warn. If you have a leak, then you need to get this to get looked at. If you add brake fluid to the brake master reservoir when new brakes are put on, the fluid in the system will all be pushed back up into the reservoir and it will overflow. Your vehicle most likely uses DOT 3, which will peal the paint off of your vehicle if it gets on it. If your brake fluid is low, get a technician to check your brakes. You either need new pads or you have a leak. Don't just add fluid, find out why it's low.
