2002 Dodge Intrepid

I recently had a fender bender with my car. As far as I can tell there was only damage to the hood and no damage to the car. This was about 2 weeks ago, and it has been driving fine since then. Today is the first time I dared to go interstate to run an errand and it stalled as I was driving. When I got onto the interstate it didnt seem to want to go, so I floored it. Highest point was 50MPH. That was with the gas pedal to the floor. I noticed that the gears were not switching over and the engine sounded like it was roaring. Then it just stalled and I coasted to the emergency lane. I still had lights and when I try to start it, it tries, but wont actually start. I hit the gas peddle and there is no gas going to it. Any idea's as to what might have made it die? Oh and it is not over heating, never had a problem with it, it does however have a small oil leak and may have been alittle low on oil but not enough for all this. All fluids are good.

Sounds like a transmission issue? Are you sure its good on fluid?

the seal on you'r hood is not fitting properly so its getting water into the sensor wiring and relay bank box theyre not sealed all that well for water. Could be a number of sensors that are being effected but my guess us its the relay bank box. this is an old question so im sure uve had it fixed by now. the intrepid is an awesome car i used to work on them everyday!
