I would be happy to assist you with this! This would depend on the type of cables you're using to connect the TV. Normally you will use an HDMI cable when connecting and HD TV. You can connect the HDMI cable to the TV and then to the receiver. Once the cable is connect you can use the input, source or TV/video button on the TV remote to change the input to HDMI.
