How To Change Update Time On Dish Satellite

At this time the option isn't available to change the update time. The Hopper checks for updates at 1 AM. Software updates are done when the receivers are idle. When the update occurs you get an attention message that the update is about to begin, providing you the option to continue watching TV or to allow the update.

Hi there tahatchent! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. The Update time can be edited depending on the type of receiver you have. If you currently have a Hopper system, unfortunately editing the update hour is not a possibility. If you have a 722 receiver or 625 simply press Menu>8 (Preferences)> 4 (Updates) to edit the time for your daily updates.
