My Dish Satellite Box Have A Built In Rf Modular-tv Has 1 Input For Recorder?

have a new dvd/vcr recorder and only one input for dish cable on tv. says it requires an rf modulato--is this part of the dish box (old recorder hook-up worked ok from ch3) It's a magnavox zv427mg9 to a sylvania 6309ca tv/vcr--never have used the vcr on the tv but have on the vcr/dvd recorder that now doesn't work--disks were recording fine before this recorder stopped working-can't be repaired.
