Dish Dvr 512: When Recording One Program And Watching A Prerecorded Program, I G
When recording one program (live) and viewing a pre-recorded program at the same time. when I switch to the live program, I get a message "complete loss of signal (error 015) and have to unplug the receiver and go thru setup. My old DVR receiver allowed me to switch with no problem. Ideas?
I've been on the phone to Dish and used the livechat and still have the problem.

Thanks Mary Catherine!
Turns out that I have a dual-output LNB from my previous 508 installation, with two cables running into the house. Looks like my problem may be solved after hooking the second feed cable to the second input on my 512, plus I've now got the capability to record two programs simultaneously (something I didn't know I could do!).
"Switch Check" returns:
Input#1 Sat 119 OK, status "Reception Verified", switch "None"
Input#2 Sat 119 OK, status "Reception Verified", switch "None"
Thankyou for your essential help on this!
