Re Boots Every Hour

Dish Network shuts down and relooks for the satelites every hour our so. It will also sporadically warn us that recording will cease if we continue with this action. However, we are not doing any 'action' nor are we recording. It will also randomly change channels.

If you haven't already done so, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds from your electrical outlet, then plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire signal. After the picture returns, see if the receiver continues to acquire satellite signal. If it does, on the back of the receiver, there is either 1 or 2 coax cables screwed into SAT IN or SAT 1 - SAT 2. Check that those connections are secure. Trace the cables from the receiver to the spot where it goes outside the room. Check all connections to make sure they are secure.
