How To Reassemble Spring For Track
Current Answers
Answer #1: Posted by SonuKumar on September 14th, 2023 11:03 PM
Gather the necessary tools and materials:
Needle nose pliers
Screwdriver
DWHT75021 spring
DWHT75021 track
Place the spring on the track, with the hooked end of the spring facing the end of the track.
Use the needle nose pliers to grab the hooked end of the spring and pull it towards the center of the track.
While holding the spring in place with the pliers, use the screwdriver to tighten the screw on the end of the track.
Once the screw is tight, release the spring from the pliers.
Repeat steps 2-5 on the other end of the track.
Test the spring to make sure that it is properly assembled by moving it back and forth along the track. The spring should move smoothly and should not come off of the track.
Tips:
Be careful not to overtighten the screw on the end of the track, as this could damage the spring.
If the spring is difficult to pull into place, you can try using a lubricant, such as WD-40, on the spring and track.
If the spring comes off of the track, try adjusting the tension of the spring by turning the screw on the end of the track.
If you are still having trouble reassembling the spring, you can contact DeWalt customer support for assistance.
