Spurting Oil?
Hi I am not super familiar with this tool. I set up the compressor with a simple hose and blow gun to check if it would work. The compressor turns on but when I squeeze blow gun nothing comes out. I also noticed that it is spurting bits of oil or grease out the back and I'm thinking I may be missing a part. I tried to get a replacement parts but the websites I saw doesn't isolate a cap maybe? See picture

The most common reason behind a reciprocating compressor's inability to reach sufficient pressure is a defective reed valve - which can exhaust air out from the air inlet on single stage models or, through the intercooler safety valve in the case of a defective reed valve on a two-stage piston compressor instead of .
