How To Start Into Safe Mode? Running Windows 7.

Hi, i have a problem starting into safe mode. Tried desperately tapping on F8 while booting but nothing happens. Searched on Forums where people pray about the right timing. Tried F5 and ESC as well. None of them worked. Any help / solutions will be very appriaciated. Thx Dell User

Hi,

Since you have already tried to boot the computer into Safe Mode by various methods, however, haven’t been able to do so. Please try and boot to the Safe Mode by following these simple steps:

Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds when the computer is switched on. Once the computers switches off, please switch on the computer and start tapping the F8 key which would take you to Advanced Boot Option screen. Using the up and down arrow key, select Safe Mode to boot the computer into Safe Mode.

Incase if you are still facing the issue, please run Dell Diagnostics to check the hard drive functionality.

The easiest way to run the test is to press and hold the FN key (function key) and then press the power button once and keep holding the FN key till you see the test
