What size CD/DVD to I need to create a back up of factory installed programs and system recovery.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you the exact size of the CD/DVD media for your backup. The main reason for this is because the size varies based on the contents present in the hard disk drive of the computer. You don't have to worry because Windows will provide you the exact size of required media CD/DVD.
