How Do I Use A Headset Microphone On My Dell Inspiron N5050?

I have tried everything under the control panel. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled IDT Audio, and it still will not work for me.

Hello screamiinmimi,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Make sure you have the correct headphones connected, your mobile headphones will not work as a mic for your system as the system needs a different mic connector next to the headphone connector.

Verify if your system defualt microphone works or not.
