Set Up Inspiron N5030 To External Monitor

how to set up inspiron n5030 to external monitor,i have no  laptops monitor,without it computer just beeps,please write any useful information to adjust computer to an external monitor

1) Connect the monitor to the external display

2) Then on your keyboard hold the f1(monitor) + Fn (should be next to Ctrl button on your Dell)

This should work.
