Recovery Disk

Hi, Had to replace my hard drive for my N5030. Went to restart, says no bootabe devices. I have lost my recovery disk, so got Windows 8 but won't install. Assuming I need to get a recovery disk. How do I go about getting one, or is there a way around it? Thx
