Greetings - Please note that not all laptops supports "memory card plugin". For those that do, the tiny mobile phone memory may have to be put into this memory card adapter that comes along with it. However camera memory cards are often already of the right size and can fit in just fine. If you laptop is new and you are sure that it supports the memory card plugin then you just have thoroughly inspect the sides of the laptop and it base though the base would be a wiered place for it. One can still buy a usb memory card adapter for around $5 dollars that can be pluged on one of the usb slots for laptops that do not support this "memory card pluug in". I really hope this helps

Hope that is helpful.
