Danby Portable Air Conditioner Leaking
I have a model DPAC 10030 Danby portable 10yr old AC. It started to leak from the underside onto my carpet when running on air conditioning. The external and internal tanks are empty. It does cool the room but I have to mop mop up the water every 2-3 hrs. Can you helpThanks Ron

Remove all the screws around the side, top, bottom and back of unit. Remove back cover. Theres a small white hose that runs from the bottom of the unit where the pump is located to the top where the water is pumped into the external tank. For some reason this hose often gets plugged up with a slimy residue (I'm guessing from water minerals and calcium). What I did is removed the hose and simply ran some warm water through it and squeezed a small amount of dish soap into the tube, then rinsed. Now all you have to do is reinstall the hose, screw the cover back on and turn it on. The whole fix should only take 20-30 mins. and your back up and running, water free.
