Coffee Maker Dcc-590 Serial# 60918c Selectively Turns On.
Our Coffee Maker DCC-590 Serial #60918C will not turn on from time to time. We have tried unplugging it, turning the program setting on/off to off, the 1-4 cup on and off, and the grind setting on and off. Sometimes it will start after this, but other times it will not. Also, sometimes it starts on the first try of turning it on. It doesn't seem to matter if it is set to grind beans or to use pre-ground beans. Please advise us as to how to fix this problem.

Sounds like you have a short. Call Cuisinart - they are good about customer service. They have a 3 year warranty - they will replace it for shipping costs. Their number is 1-800-726-0190.
