Spill Inside Of Base

WE SPILLED ICE CREAM INSIDE THE BASE OF OUR CUISINART CIM-60 ICE CREAM MAKER. THE ICE CREAM RAN OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE. I'M AFRAID TO TURN THE MACHINE ON NOW BECAUSE i'M AFRAID THE LIQUID MAY HAVE GOT ON THE MOTOR. IS THE MOTOR PROTECTED FROM THE LIQUID? CAN I USE MY USE MY ICE CREAM MAKER SAFELY NOW?
