There are a few things that can cause the left rear wheel on a Cub Cadet ZT1 50 to lock up.

Brake failure. The most common cause is a brake failure. This can happen if the brake fluid leaks, the brake pads wear out, or the brake caliper seizes.

Brake dragging. Another possibility is brake dragging. This happens when the brakes are not fully released, which can cause the wheel to lock up.

Binding. The wheel can also lock up if something is binding it, such as a rock or a piece of debris.

Electrical problem. In rare cases, an electrical problem can cause the brake to lock up. This could be due to a faulty brake switch or wiring.

If you experience a locked rear wheel on your Cub Cadet ZT1 50, the first thing you should do is check the brakes. Make sure that the brake fluid level is correct and that the brake pads are not worn out. If the brakes are okay, then you should check for binding. If you can't find anything wrong, then you may need to take the mower to a qualified mechanic to diagnose the problem.

Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting a locked rear wheel on a Cub Cadet ZT1 50:

Try pumping the brakes a few times. This may help to release the brake.

Check the brake pedal for free play. If there is no free play, then the brakes may be dragging.

Inspect the brake pads for wear. If the pads are worn out, then they will need to be replaced.

Check for binding in the brake caliper. If the caliper is binding, it will need to be repaired or replaced.

Check the electrical system for any problems. If there is a faulty brake switch or wiring, it will need to be repaired.

If you are unable to troubleshoot the problem yourself, then you should take the mower to a qualified mechanic.

Is the drive belt turning the input pulley on the transmission? And is the pulley actually turning the shaft or could the key be stripped. These things act like the wheels are locked up if they are not under power. The gear ratios make it very hard to move. If the belt and pulley are working, raise up the rear end and see if the rear wheels will turn in opposite directions, that will tell you the side gears in the differential are ok. Then put one wheel back on ground and see if the wheel off the ground will rotate. Let me know. Thanks.

Please Accept my answer by providing you with the best possible solution. Would be more glade.

A locked-up left rear wheel could be caused by various factors, such as a malfunctioning brake caliper, a seized brake rotor, a damaged brake line, or issues with the wheel bearing. It's recommended to have a professional mechanic inspect the issue to accurately diagnose and fix the problem.
