Error Code 222e

The electric mower will run. The blades will not turn. The display says 222e. The manual isnt very helpful. Any suggestions as to why my blades won't turn?

The error code 222e on a Cub Cadet XT1 LT42 electric mower indicates an issue with the electric PTO clutch circuit. This circuit controls the engagement of the mower blades, so it's likely the reason why your blades are not turning.

Here are some possible causes of the issue:

Faulty electric PTO clutch - The electric PTO clutch may be faulty and needs to be replaced. A defective clutch won't engage the mower blades even if the engine is running.
Loose or corroded electrical connections - Loose or corroded electrical connections could be interrupting the current flow to the PTO clutch. Check all the connections and clean any corrosion with a wire brush or sandpaper.
Broken or damaged PTO switch - The PTO switch sends the signal to engage the electric PTO clutch. If the switch is broken or damaged, it won't send the signal to engage the clutch.
