Replacing the drive belt on a Cub Cadet LGTX 1050 with electric power steering is a fairly straightforward process. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Turn off the engine and remove the key to prevent accidental starting.
  2. Locate the drive belt on the underside of the mower deck. The belt is typically black and wraps around the engine pulley and transmission pulley.
  3. Using a wrench, loosen the bolts that hold the electric power steering motor in place. You may need to remove other components to access the motor, such as the battery or battery box.
  4. Once the motor is loosened, carefully slide it to one side to create enough clearance to remove the old drive belt.
  5. Remove the old drive belt by carefully pulling it off the engine and transmission pulleys.
  6. Install the new drive belt by wrapping it around the pulleys in the same way as the old belt.
  7. Move the electric power steering motor back into place and tighten the bolts with the wrench.
  8. Check the tension of the new belt by pushing down on it with your finger. The belt should have a little bit of give but should not be loose. Adjust the tension if necessary.
  9. Reinstall any components that were removed to access the motor.
  10. Test the mower to make sure the new drive belt is working properly.

Note: If you're unsure about any of these steps, it's best to consult your Cub Cadet owner's manual or take your mower to a certified Cub Cadet dealer for repair.
