Gtx1054 Power Steering Problems!

Upon starting Mower the steering automatically turns left by itself.

It sounds like parts in the steering are worn. I have included the link for you to view the parts diagram of the steering assembly on your model.

Steering Assembly schematic for model 917275223

On your model, at the base of the steering shaft there is a gear that works with a sector gear. That sector gear has a draglink that connects to the left front spindle assembly. The left and right spindles are connected by a tie rod that makes them turn in unison.  The parts to check for wear are the sector gear, the gear at the base of the steering shaft, the bushings, and the tie rod. When you turn the steering left and right look for areas of play. If you have any play in the parts, the bushings are likely worn or the teeth on the gears are worn. I have included the links to order the parts that are most likely worn. If you replace the sector gear, I recommend replacing the steering shaft so the gear teeth wear evenly.
