Setting My City To The Default

I HAVE TRIED A HUNDRED TIMES IN VAIN TO SET THE DEFAULT CITY TO MINE AND STILL I KEEP GETTING TAKEN TO THE BOSTON CITY'S CRAIGSLIST. I HAVE GONE INTO MY SETTINGS AND ADJUSTED IT THERE TO SHOW bAKERSFIELD AND THEN CLICKED ONTO HOMETOWN JUST AS TOLD AND STILL IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE BOSTON CITY CRAIGSLIST. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG OR WHAT IS GOING ON WITH CRAIGSLIST?

Wa-Hoo!! Finally figured it out. Here's what I did. Go to the state then city that you want, then add it as a favorit on your toolbar (I have a little star using Google Chrome Browser) just click on that and rename if you want and voile! it will be on your toolbar and when you click it will go directly to the correct city you have chosen.

go to craigslist. when your old location page comes up, click on states on the right hand bottom of the page. choose the state and city nearest your new home. when the new site loads, go to the file (at the very top left of your page) click the file box and choose "send shortcut to desktop"
