Your listing can be removed for many reasons. The main reason will be for overposting. You can only post the same ad in one category and only repost it every two days. Craigslist doesn't want their site bogged down with the same posts day after day.

You can also get it removed for threats against someone, obscene or racist comments and for items banned on Craigslist, such as prescription drugs, weapons and pornography.

You may have posted it in the wrong category as well. That will get your post removed ASAP. For example, you cannot post an ad looking for a job in the "item wanted" section. That section is for physical items and not for people looking for employment.
