Access Account

I set up an account and posted an item for sale. It sold. Now I can't get back into my account to delete. The system will not take my password but won't let me create a new one. Please direct me to the right section with directions on deleting advertisements and creating new passwords.

1. Don't worry too much about deleting your post: it will delete itself automatically before too long. See http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/posting_lifespans.

2. The instructions for deleting posts are here.

3. Craigslist has no published requirements for a password.

My advice is to abandon the account and either create a new on or (if you need to post on Craigslist in future) work without an account.
