This is a common if irksome attribute of search engines designed to find listings within a website. Try the search engine at amazon.com or target.com and you'll see the same phenomenon. I suppose the reason is to give you more choice—but I agree that it's an annoyance.

There is a workaround: Use your browser's word search feature to look for the specific words on the page ["trans am" in your case, without the quotes]. In most browsers F3 will invoke that feature.
