Potential buyer said out of town can I send some movers? Does this sound shady? I'm new at this and the item's not cheap.

Your question is not altogether clear, but as a seller you should not fulfill your part of a Craigslist bargain without having the buyer's cash in hand. Anything less is far too likely to be facilitating a scam.
