Go to a Craigslist page such as http://losangeles.craigslist.org/. That particular page is for the Los Angeles area, and if you like you may post uisng that page, for that area. If you want a different area, link to the desired page from the list on the right.

Once you find the Craigslist page for the U.S. area you want, find the prominent "post to classifieds" link (it's at the upper-left corner of the main page), drill down to the appropriate category, and fill out the simple form.
